HH Radhe Shyamanand Maharaj

HH Radhe Shyamanand Maharaj was born in 1965 at Dholpur, Rajasthan, in a pious Brahmin family in a simple village named Jarga. Being from a simple background not so much contaminated by the modern city life maharaj was naturally inclined toward devotional activities from the very beginning, like sloka competition, recitations, kirtan in local temples, etc. He also had a strong inclination toward renounced order of life as he used to feel something special whenever he heard or read about the great Indian sages of yore. From as early as 1979 my life turned and somehow a strong impetus came from within to wake-up before brahma-muhurta in order to study vedic literatures. Seeing this changes in him, maharaj's parents felt great happiness and encouraged him to pursue that way of life. After finishing his 12th study in science (biology) in 1985 from local colleges, then in 1986 He came for my first Govardhan parikrama. After this he decided to leave home and stay in Vrindavan for life. However his parents threatened to commit suicide if he did. This desire kept burning in his heart until finally he left for good in 1990. Where he went first was the Gaudiya Matha of HH Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja at Mathura. But he advised me to go to ISKCON as I’d feel uncomfortable there on account of his preaching in Bengali to Bengali speaking devotees. So he came and met the then temple president HG Kadamba Kanana das – now, HH Kadamba Kanana Rasa parayan Swami – and joined the bhakta program. Since then maharaj have rendered services in various capacities that are given in the list below. He was awarded first initiation by HH Loknatha swami in 1996 and 2nd in 1998 in Sri Vrindavan dhama. By the encouragement of many senior devotees such as HG Mahaman and pr and HH B.A.Vaishnava Maharaja and many other senior brahmacaris he’ve applied for the sannyasa order of life. LIST OF SERVICES RENDERED: 18 months New Bhakta training 1992-97: Sankirtan in-charge 3 Through 1998 served as cashier 1999-2000: Temple president Indore 2000-2005: Lucknow, Temple president 2006-2012: As in-charge for various departments – Life member, Namahatta, Brahmachari, Sick, Supply 2013-2014: served as temple President, Noida 2014-til date: serving as “Director of Namahatta Preaching” in Vrindavan, which includes various services like – Preaching program for ( 1. Village, 2. School, 3. College, 4. Organizing festival, 5. Organizing Ratha Yatra, 6. Sobha Yatra, 7. Book distribution, 8. village to village Hari Nama Sankirtan), Bramachari Councilar, VMC member & Incharge of Agra ISKCON Center etc. 9 During Preaching days, visited various places of India. Maharaj based in ISKCON Vrindavan and have great interest and love for preaching and book distribution & Hari nama. For last 25+ years, Maharaj have been serving Srila Prabhupada in his mission and now, He is 50+ years old.
